COLDINGHAM TO EYEMOUTH

Coldingham Priory

The Priory housed Benedictine monks and nuns as early as 1147. Although it was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell in 1650, some of the original building remains. The ‘new’ Priory has been fully refurbished and is in constant use for worship and community activities.

Coldingham Bay and Beach, 1 mile east of Coldingham

The spectacular bay, sandy beach and many beach huts is very popular with visitors and is well known as a hot spot for surfers.
